In Acts 10 we learn that Jesus is Lord of all and that He went about doing good (Acts 10:38). God raised Jesus from the dead on the third day (Act 10:40). The miracle of the resurrection is amazing, the perfect sinless man died but that wasn’t the end He came back to life. Just as Jesus came back from the dead when we accept Him our old sinful nature is put away and Christ dwells in our hearts. Jesus was given authority to judge all people (Acts 10:42) however, His judgement is not for condemnation it is so that all who believe in Him can have eternal life through Him, “…that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. Acts 10:43” May, we all trust in Him and receive Him, amen.
The bible was written so that “we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Romans 15:4” Before, Christ the full Gospel of salvation was a mystery but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. (Colossians 1:26), the mystery was that God would dwell in our hearts this has now come to us through Jesus (Colossians 1:27) who gives full assurance of salvation to the Lord people. “In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. Acts 17:30”. God will “judge the world with justice Acts 17:31” through Christ Jesus. We can rejoice in this that if we believe in Him who died for us (Christ) and rose from the dead God’s love for us gives us eternal life (John 3:16). Jesus said, “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. John 17:3” Romans teaches us that “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23” The only way to be made right with God is through Jesus. May we all know God and Jesus whom he sent. Amen.
Matthew 8:5-13 Tells us about a general in the ancient Roman army who comes to Jesus asking for his servant to be healed. This man came full of faith to the point where he believes God could do it by Him simply asking. If, only we could all believe the same about prayer. Jesus offered to personally visit the servant to heal him but the man full of faith said to Jesus, “…just say the word, and my servant will be healed. Matthew 8:8” Though we don’t visibly see Jesus today, He is with us, hears us in prayer and wants to have a relationship with all of us (His children). The Bible tells us to come before God with confidence (Hebrews 14:16), trust in His grace and He will help us in our time of need. Sometimes, the answer to prayer is simply God helping us with our difficulties, other times it is removing them entirely. May we all continue to trust in Him and if we need Him may we find Him. Amen
